the first step towards confidence is not being afraid to be ugly

once you get over the fear of being unattractive and stop equating beauty with other good things in life (friends, love, happiness) it’s a lot easier to love yourself unconditionally

your job is not to sit around and be pretty and easy on everyone else’s eyes

your job is to do whatever the fuck you want and look however the fuck you want while doing it

This is how I got confident

daily reminder that the boy you’re in love with at 16 probably won’t matter when you’re 25.

daily reminder that the math test you failed your freshman year of high school probably won’t matter when you’re graduating college.

daily reminder that the problems you’re facing today may seem like the worlds end, but they will not matter in a year.

daily reminder that you’re going to be okay.

everything is going to be okay.

the-unpopular-opinions:

There are way too many people on this Earth.
Nature is designed to keep populations in check by diseases, predation, infant deaths, etc. I’m not saying we should get rid of all medicines and throw ourselves in front of grizzly bears, but sometimes people need to accept nature.
I think if someone is VERY old and has a cancer that will kill them soon, keeping them alive using so many treatments is just wasteful. Also, I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but if a kid gets a really bad disease where they will be in a hospital their entire life, I think that’s just wasteful of resources.
A second thing. People need to stop having so many children. I’m so sick of people like “I want the kids to be MINE so I won’t adopt”. Get over yourself. Oh boohoo, your kid wont have your eye color NO ONE FUCKING CARES. if you really loved children you would care for all of the poor orphans out in the world. I think the adoption process needs to be WAY easier.
How many kids do you need? Can you really care for 4 children under the age of 7? I know some people can, but why not two, or one? I personally think the US needs to enact a child limit law like China did. Maybe not as extreme as one, but Jesus Christ do you need 5 kids?

And if you are going to use the “we can fit the entire population into Los Angeles” you are just ignorant. Overpopulation isnt about how many people you can cram together in a city, its about resources. And we’re running out of them.
